Remedies for headache - II

Herbs to use:
- Aloe (Aloe arborescens). Boil one or two leaves of aloe in 2-3 liters of water and pour the resulting liquid, for a few nights in a row, on the head, and then on the whole body. You can also mix the aloe infusion with chicory juice. Take 15 to 30 grams per day.

- Thyme (Thymus serpyllum). Boil the Thyme in a lot of water and hold your head for 10-15 minutes in this decoction, and after pour it all over the body.

- Lady's mantle (Alchemila vulgaris). Prepare an infusion from one teaspoon of flowers per cup of water. Drink throughout the day.

- Pasque-flower (Pulsatilla montana). Prepare an infusion of two teaspoons of herb per cup of water. Drink one to two cups per day.

- Elecampane/horse heal (Inula helenium). Pour a glass of cold water over one teaspoon of roots. Leave for 10 hours, then strain. Drink a quarter glass once a day, 30 minutes before lunch.

- Sweet Mock-orange/English Dogwood (Philadelphus coronarius). Prepare an infusion of one or two teaspoons of flowers per cup of water. Drink two cups a day.

- Lavender (Lavandula officinalis). Prepare an infusion of one teaspoon of flowers per cup of water. Drink one or two cups a day.

- Dog Rose (Rosa canina). Prepare an infusion of one teaspoon of Dog Rose flowers in a glass of water. Leave for 30 minutes. Take two tablespoons three times a day, 30 minutes before meals.

- Marjoram (Majorana hortensis). Prepare an infusion of two teaspoons of herb per cup of water. Drink two to three cups a day.

- Peppermint (peppermint). Prepare a decoction of a teaspoon of flowers per cup of water. Leave for 40 minutes, then strain. Drink one cup in the morning on an empty stomach and at night before going to bed.

- Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyva). Prepare a decoction of 20 g of hawthorn fruit in a glass of water. Boil for 10 minutes on low fire. Drink one to two cups per day.

- Pheasant’s eye (Adonis vernalis). Prepare a tincture of the aerial parts of the plant. Take five to ten drops three times daily.

- Willow (Salix alba). Prepare a decoction of willow leaves and violets. Before drinking the decoction add a few drops of vinegar. Take one or two tablespoons per day.

- Acacia (Robinia pseudocacia). Prepare a tincture of the aerial parts including the flowers. Take five to ten drops twice a day.

- Lesser periwinkle (Vinca minor). Prepare a tincture of 20 g of herb to 100 ml of alcohol. Leave for nine days. Take five drops three times daily, 30 minutes before the meal. This tincture is recommended for long-term headaches.

- St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum). Prepare a decoction of a teaspoon of flowers in a glass of water. Boil for 5 minutes on low fire. Drink a quarter glass three times a day.

- Nettle (Urtica dioica). Prepare an infusion of one teaspoon of herb to one cup of boiling water and keep it in a thermos for 2 hours. Take one tablespoon daily, with a little bit of honey.

- Valerian (Valeriana officinalis). Prepare a tincture of the crushed root of the plant to 100 ml of alcohol. Take five drops three times a day.

Herbal blends
- Prepare an infusion of chamomile flowers, peppermint leaves, fennel fruit and valerian root, equal parts. Add a little more than two teaspoons of the mixture in 0.5 liters of boiling water. Leave overnight in a thermos and drink in the morning a cup of this mixture.
