Almonds help prevent diabetes

A study at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, shows that people who regularly eat almonds have a low risk of developing diabetes mellitus. Experts have observed that a diet rich in almonds stimulates the pancreas, improving the body's sensitivity to insulin. In addition, research has shown that almonds help reduce the ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), helping prevent heart disease.
