The Watermelon Cure
Apart from the fact that it hydrates us (being about 90% water) and thus is ideal in diets, the watermelon is so rich in vitamins and minerals that we can fairly say that this fruit should be consumed daily. Eating watermelon while you are on a low calorie diet will help you get the necessary nutrients. The watermelon diet is recommended for those who want to lose weight and suffer from kidney problems or stomach ulcers. It is very good because the watermelon contains very little sugar and is rich in antioxidants, water, potassium and vitamins. A watermelon is the perfect cure if you take it for a minimum of 10 days per month during the hot season. Eat also the sweet-sour pulp near the shell, because there are more enzymes and organic acids in there that have a strong role in detoxification. Because of its sweet taste and the lack of cholesterol, the watermelon can be served as dessert, not necessarily the main course. Watermelon diet will give you potassium and vitamins A, C and B6. And because watermelon is about 90% water, it quenches your thirst and gives you a daily ration of moisture. This fruit also contains enzymes, organic acids, and the hydration helps clean the kidneys and urinary tract. The watermelon cure is not fixed, it implies only eating lots of watermelon.
