Sore throat remedies

Cold air has already made its presence; did it make your tonsils angry? Here are some ideas.

  • Drink herbal teas made from a mixture of sage, colt’s foot, plantain, field horsetail, St. John’s wort, yarrow, chamomile (make an infusion of all the above) and add a few drops of Swedish bitter.
  • Take two baths a day for 25 minutes.
  • Apply a poultice of clay and grinded onions on the neck race for 2 hours per day.
  • Place your feet in hot water for 30 minutes and take steam baths of chamomile and peppermint or lavender oil at the head and chest.
  • Apply neck compresses the comfrey kernel, fenugreek or raw cabbage leaves.
  • Do garlic, onion, lemon and oil gargle for 3-4 minutes.
  • Gargle with tea as an infusion made of marshmallow, chamomile, marigold, yellow bedstraw, horsetail, sage and thyme.
  • Apply warm compresses at night, with infusion of oak bark
  • Massage your body with an alcoholic solution of peppermint and lavender.

Plantain Anti-Cholesterol Tea

Plantain is a remedy anticolesterol checked on thousands of patients. Treatment with this herb prevents the alarming increase of "bad" cholesterol level in the blood. Infusion is recommended and it is made of one spoon of plant and a 200 ml cup of boiling water. Drink one tablespoon every two hours. Treatment should be followed for 14 days. After a break of ten days it may be repeated.
