More and more studies show that cherries have the same anti-inflammatory action like aspirin. Scientists at the University of California discovered that eating cherries for 28 days reduces inflammation in the body by about 25%. Rich in vitamin C, potassium, boron, but also anthocyanin which gives them the specific red color, cherries reduce pain almost as well as ibuprofen and aspirin, and have the same properties as the anti-inflammatory drugs. Moreover, specialists from the University of Oregon have discovered that cherry juice reduces the intensity of pain and tension felt after sustained physical exercise.

Fresh cherry juice helps get rid of insomnia
Do you often suffer from insomnia? Here's a remedy as delicious as simple: fresh cherries juice, unsweetened, drunk in the morning and in the evening, will help you sleep better. Insomnia remedies have recently become a challenge for researchers. Life is more alert and our exposure to stress level is higher. Therefore the chance to have some quiet nights is considerably lower. Researchers at the University of Rochester, New York, found that fresh cherry juice prepared at home, not bought from supermarkets, has a hypnotic effect, because of the high levels of melatonin in the cherries, the hormone that regulates the body's rhythm circadian. In addition, cherry juice - a natural solution to combat insomnia - is the ideal choice for such problems, if we consider the side effects caused by sleeping pills.
